the villa

contemporary architectural masterpiece

The villa is a versatile space with suites for accommodation, an events section for corporate functions, weddings and special events. It is a flowing space and liquid as one moves through the open plan of all the entertainment areas. The middle floor of the Villa is dedicated to entertainment and is made up of various lounge areas, a pool deck which wraps around the East wing of the house, a designer kitchen with top of the range appliances. The kitchen is suitable for a private chef and is screened off from the 16-Seater dining table with a giant, mesmerising tropical freshwater aquarium with exotic fish and the Villa’s sophisticated interiors in oceanic shades of blue and light ochre to resonate the sea, sand and rocks. The sea facing lounge boasts a television on a lift, so as not to obstruct the view when not being utilized. This room adorns a vista as far as the eye can see in the day. At night it transforms into a breath-taking array of glitz and glam, with soft golden light filtering the starlit skies of the exterior. Every element of touch, smell, sound and taste in these lounges ooze sophistication. An extraordinary space, having the feeling and craving of a deep citrine cognac, with Belgian chocolate truffles. For the ladies a generous flute of rose champagne and a canape draped in smoke Scottish salmon.

For a more understated area the double lounge opens into a fun filled entertainment area with a large screen television and comfortable swivel chairs, playfully imitating clam shells. The fabrics in this room are alive with energy, juxta positioning two complimentary colours together in order to unite air, sunshine and water. The radiant orange of sunshine spreading over the deep blue ocean. Slip into the sofa with a book of T.S.Elliott or relax with an old classic playing on the gigantic screen, sipping on a gin infused with cardamom and a spritz of tonic, finished with a twirl of lemon.

As you meander through the interior, the exterior opens up to a vast area of decking, the colour of beach boardwalks. This hugs the building structure and allows for alfresco dining and starlit nights, lying on the king extra length daybeds. Beautiful fresh, white wicker sofas adorn the area and are perfect for the countless days of blue skies. The yacht fabrics used are in neutral tones and the soft finishes in rust colours, emblazoned with cheeky vervet monkeys that are indigenous to the coastal regions of South Africa. The sparkling rim flow pool allows for a cool dip on the warm days and an open amphitheatre looms in the corner of the garden, nestled under a tree, for pizza nights when one lazily recovers from the event of the evening before.

This spectacular creation is one of calmness, invigorating energy, informal, formal, spaciousness and cosiness all seamlessly wrapped in one. The entire residence and surrounds capture the essence of a first world experience and all that have the opportunity of making it their temporary abode, will be left with a sense of awe and a longing to return.
